I’ve been hearing a lot about ghostwriters lately, but I still don’t fully understand how does ghostwriting work. Do ghostwriters write the entire book based on your idea? Do they interview you first? And how is payment usually handled per word, per project, or royalty based?

I’m also curious about confidentiality. Do ghostwriters stay completely anonymous, or can they be credited if both parties agree?
